Eco X Creates Mobile Workshop Bus for Scania - Manufacturer Eco XEco X Mobile Units

Designed for testing in the automaker’s prototype division, specifically for the quality certification of Scania products, the mobile unit was built using a bus with an Irizar body and a K360 4x2 chassis.

The state-of-the-art mobile workshop developed by Eco X for Scania is fully equipped for vehicle servicing, specifically the maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles. In total, the bus features two workbenches; a bench drill; two cabinets for specialized equipment; removable shelves; a tool cart with seven drawers; and a trash can.

With passenger comfort in mind, Eco X equipped the mobile unit with two bunk beds; two full bathrooms, one of which includes a shower; a mini-fridge with a capacity for 48 cans; a microwave; cup holders; reclining seats; and a 17-inch ceiling-mounted monitor with digital TV and a USB port. The bus also features two air conditioning systems (15,000 BTUs).

The vehicle is equipped with four stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 800 liters of water (375 liters of clean water and 425 liters of wastewater), two diesel tanks with a capacity of 125 liters each, as well as a water purifier, two 50-liter oil drums, a 6-kg fire extinguisher, and a Schulz compressor (100 L – 2 HP). A highlight is the low-noise Cummins generator, enclosed with an acoustic and exhaust system that provides up to three days of autonomy. On the exterior of the Mobile Workshop, there are two awnings, each extending three meters.
