Advanced Dental Health Unit
One example of Eco X's expertise in mobile units for the healthcare sector is the Advanced Dental Care Unit
Developed for the Amazonas State Department of Health. The project was based on a CAIO-model bus (13.4 meters), which was converted into a modern dental clinic on wheels.
In total, the Health Department’s mobile unit can treat four patients at the same time, with a total capacity of 12 people. As part of the project, Eco X installed four dental chairs on the bus—each equipped with a light-curing unit, an amalgamator, and an ultrasonic device with a bicarbonate jet.

The Advanced Unit is equipped with other application equipment, including two autoclaves; vacuum pumps (two); and ultrasonic cleaners (two). The infrastructure was entirely designed by Eco X to prevent any issues, as the special bus features dual-voltage lighting (30); a water distiller; a mini-fridge; sealing machines (two); LED floodlights (six); compressors (two); air conditioning units (three); electrical outlets (four); a battery charger; and a pressurization pump.
It also has two water tanks, each with a capacity of 300 liters; cabinets; and sinks with faucets. A mobile trailer attached to the bus carries the generator, which is equipped with a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) that automatically activates the equipment when it does not detect the local power grid.
In terms of accessibility, the mobile dental unit is equipped with an access platform for people with disabilities that is operated by a key and a control panel. Other notable features of the design include the leveling system for uneven terrain, which is equipped with four sensors that monitor the system’s positioning; a retractable side awning; a tire pressure gauge (for inflating tires); and cables for connecting to an external power source.
Eco X’s work included developing the project concept in collaboration with the client, creating a 3D design of the mobile unit, and assembling the vehicle. We have already developed other mobile units for dental care, such as the “Ford Odontomóvel” trailer and the “Colgate Odontomóvel” van.
